The Inn of Lake George, an 11-room boutique hotel on a side street off Canada Street in the village, sold this week for more than $1.7 million.

The property at 12 McGillis Ave. sold on Tuesday to Pinnacle Hospitality Partners LLC. The seller was Stockade Holdings LLC, a local couple who had purchased the property in 2021.

Mitch Muroff of Muroff Hospitality Group had listed the inn for sale at $1.95 million at the end of 2024. The final sale price was $1.775 million.

Muroff represented the sellers and secured the buyers.

Muroff said this is the new owners’ first venture in the hotel space. The limited liability company for the buyers is linked to a PO box in Bolton Landing. Neither a deed nor a mortgage has been filed yet with the county.

The Inn of Lake George is an adults-only hotel that was recently renovated. Rooms run about $200 a night and up, depending on the season and the day of the week.

The property includes The Lobby Bar, a cocktail lounge that’s open to the public Thursday through Sunday.

It’s the latest Lake George area hotel to change hands in the last year.

Another property, the Harbor Motel at 2245 Route 9 in Lake George, sold at the end of 2024 for $2 million.

In nearby Queensbury, two hotels sold in July — The Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Lake George sold for $8.185 million; and The Quality Inn on Route 9 sold for $2.9 million.
